One person shouldn't be risking all for the other, either they both should be sacrificing themselves or neither, otherwise the relationship comes across as unbalanced. Rachel on a number of occasions put her life at risk to protect Logan, whilst in comparison he didn't do much for her. It's annoying how the heroine is always the one who has to suffer in all these YA books whilst the hero just has a grand old time. I hated all the torture, abuse and starvation Rachel had to put up with, whilst Logan was all comfortable and fine and dandy. The only time I kind of rooted for Rachel was whenever Ian or one of her captors acted self righteous or abusive, other than that I didn't like her much.

I didn't really care about Logan or Rachel, I found them both quite dull. I was bored most of the way through, there wasn't much of an interesting plot, the majority of the book was spent on characters walking around, running away, or making lame threats. Meh, not awful but not all that good either.
